As one of the most difficult languages in Europe, Finnish offers some hurdles in learning. However, its high complexity offers creative ways to describe what surrounds you so far north: Snow. Whether it’s viti, (fresh powdery snow), ilijanne (thin layer of snow on ice), or hanki (an even layer of snow), the Finnish language does justice to the unique manifestations of snow. So, to get a little closer to reality, this winter we offer you a small selection of different types of snow, from which you can choose your favorite form. Which snow do you want to put your website in the winter mood?
Where does Santa Claus actually come from? Not from Iceland, not from Greenland, not from out of the woods – Santa Claus comes from Turkey. The historical model for the figure was St. Nicholas, the bishop of Myra on the Mediterranean coast, who died on December 6, 343. But he didn’t always look as cute as he does today. Coca-Cola first made Santa Claus, or more accurately “Santa Claus,” famous around the world. In 1931, the company commissioned illustrator Haddon Sundblom to draw “Santa Claus” for a Christmas advertising campaign. Which Santa Claus should fly over your website complete with sleigh?
