When existing solutions no longer run smoothly, reach their limits or simply lack someone who can support them, we take the helm. When is a transfer worthwhile?

There are many situations in which companies decide to have BAYOOTEC take over an existing software product. It is often the case that the existing tool simply no longer meets current requirements, has reached its technical limits and even represents a security risk. An unsatisfactory or terminated cooperation with the previous service provider can also be a reason to look for a new partner.

In some cases, there is simply a lack of time or personnel resources internally to further develop the software and operate it in a stable manner. In such cases, our team can strengthen the existing team in a targeted manner – with additional know-how, experience and the necessary capacity. Last but not least, it happens time and again that software is no longer maintained and thus becomes a risk to ongoing operations.

It always starts with a thorough inventory:

  • What can the existing system do?

  • Which interfaces are available?

  • What are the current requirements and how could the software be expanded in the future?

  • How good is the documentation to date and why were certain decisions made?

This analysis helps to minimize risks and determine the best strategy for further development. And if the documentation is not sufficient, we provide active support in closing existing knowledge gaps.
